Q. What is photojournalism and how does it apply to my wedding?

A. I am trained as a photojournalist. Photojournalism is the art of photographic storytelling to document life. The images I make are the historic documents of your wedding day. The moments are real and not manipulated by me. The only time I will ask you to smile and look at me is during the portrait session. You can learn more about wedding photojournalism at www.wpja.com

Q. What if I want more prints?

A.  You can do it yourself without contacting or paying me. The CD’s containing your images are yours to keep and make prints from as often as you like. While I still hold the copyright, you are free to print the photos at any time.

Q.  Do you offer black and white?

A.  Sure. All of the images are made with a digital camera and are easily converted to black and white.

 Q.  Do you work with an assistant?

A.  No, I prefer to be low-key and unobtrusive in my photography. Weddings are a celebration and I want you to remember the day, not the photographers.

Q.  Do you offer albums?

A.  Yes. These albums are hardbound, coffe table style books with elegant leather covers in a variety of colors. The 20-page albums measure 11x 8 1/2 inches and are designed by me. Price: $150 You can choose to add 2 additional albums for an additional $195. You can also choose a 40-page coffee table book for $350.

Q.  How many frames do you shoot?

A.  A good question, but not relevant. I would rather see 20 great photos from a wedding than 300 mediocre ones. Depending on the wedding I can make well over 1,000 images.

Q.  Who chooses the prints I receive and the album photos?

A.  I do. Photo editing is part of the service I provide to the client and a critical part of photography.  There’s no way I would expect someone to sift through hundreds of images. I want people to see my best shots. You still get ALL the images.

Q. Where are you located and do you travel?

A. I am located in Spencer County, Kentucky near Interstate 64. I do not charge mileage for weddings within a 100 mile radius. This includes Louisville, Lexington and Elizabethtown. I am also available for destination weddings world wide.
